PuffFree Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the PuffFree: Quit Vaping iOS app, published by GW Labs ("we", "us"). PuffFree is designed to be private by default. It supplements the general GW Labs privacy policy; where the two differ, this page governs PuffFree.

The short version

• Everything you record in PuffFree — quit date, cravings, journal, check-ins, progress — is stored only on your device. We never receive it.
• There are no accounts, no ads, no third-party analytics, and no tracking.
• The only data that leaves your device is the minimum needed to process an optional purchase, and — if you choose to connect it — nothing from Apple Health ever does.

Information stored on your device

Your quit profile, craving logs, journal entries, daily check-ins, gamification progress, and settings live in local storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data (subject to device backups you control through Apple). You can also export or import your own data as a file from Settings; that file is created on your device and shared only where you send it.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

PuffFree Pro can optionally read three measurements from the Health app on your device: resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), and blood oxygen. We use them for one purpose: to show you, inside the app, how your averages from the 7 days before your quit date compare with the last 7 days.

• Reading is optional and happens only after you grant permission in the Health app. You can revoke it at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
• Health data is read-only. PuffFree never writes to Health.
• Health data never leaves your device. It is not stored on our servers, not shared with any third party (including RevenueCat), and never used for advertising, marketing, or any purpose other than displaying the comparison to you.
• The comparison is informational and is not medical advice.

Purchases and subscriptions

PuffFree offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple processes all payments; we never see your payment details. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and can be managed in your Apple Account settings. To validate purchases across reinstalls, our subscription-management provider RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier and purchase/transaction data. This identifier is not your name, email, or Apple ID, is used only to deliver the purchase functionality, and is never used for advertising or sold. See RevenueCat's privacy policy. Data we "collect" (App Store privacy disclosure)

• Purchase History — App Functionality (managing your purchase or subscription).
• A device-generated identifier — App Functionality (validating your purchase). Not linked to your identity; not used for tracking.
• Health & Fitness data (optional) — App Functionality only, processed entirely on your device as described above. Not linked to your identity; not used for tracking; never transmitted.

Health disclaimer

PuffFree is a self-help tool, not a medical device, and is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. Its health-recovery timeline reflects widely published smoking-cessation guidance (CDC, NHS, WHO) and individual results vary. Children's privacy

PuffFree is not directed to children under 13 and collects no personal information from any user, including minors.

Your choices and rights

Because your content lives on your device, you control it: view, edit, or delete it in the app; remove everything by deleting the app; manage subscriptions in your Apple Account. For rights requests involving purchase records (GDPR/CCPA), contact us below.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.

PuffFree Pro kann optional drei Messwerte aus der Health-App auf deinem Gerät lesen: Ruheherzfrequenz, Herzfrequenzvariabilität (HRV) und Blutsauerstoff. Das Lesen ist optional und erfolgt erst nach deiner Freigabe; du kannst sie jederzeit in den Einstellungen widerrufen. Health-Daten werden nur gelesen, nie geschrieben, verlassen dein Gerät nie, werden mit niemandem geteilt und nicht für Werbung genutzt. Der Vergleich ist keine medizinische Beratung.

Apple Santé (HealthKit) — Français

PuffFree Pro peut, en option, lire trois mesures depuis l'app Santé de ton appareil : fréquence cardiaque au repos, variabilité de la fréquence cardiaque (VFC) et oxygène sanguin. Elles servent uniquement à afficher, dans l'app, la comparaison entre les 7 jours précédant ta date d'arrêt et les 7 derniers jours. La lecture est facultative et n'a lieu qu'après ton autorisation ; tu peux la révoquer à tout moment dans les réglages. Les données Santé sont lues, jamais écrites, ne quittent jamais ton appareil, ne sont partagées avec personne et ne servent pas à la publicité. Cette comparaison n'est pas un avis médical.
